The lovely & talented Audrey is working a new project, about to be unveiled. She hasn't released all the details on it yet, but given the name of the project and the feelings she has expressed about the drama and bias in Dollyworld, it looks as if she is taking steps to make Stardoll-- and real life-- better for all of us. Please check it out, and follow the blog!

Just a quick update...
The new uni semester is totally interfering with my Stardoll time! Waaaaaaaaaaa! Please feel sorry for me. ;-)
Okay, just kidding; I love being back in uni and the hard work is rewarding. I am learning some really great stuff this semester even if I don't have a Roman history class of any sort. *pouts* But I do have a feeling that once these degrees are complete and I move back to the US to do my Masters of Divinity, then I will likely MOVE to Turkey for a few years-- all the things that matter most deeply to me in my history studies are there, including topics I could use for that particular Master's thesis. (Hittite art, Byzantine ruins, Ottoman Empire art & architecture, Graeco-Roman influences, Willusa (Troy?) and modern Istanbul & Ankara...) Sure, Australia will always be home, just like the US is still my home, and the special ways that Mexico & Pakistan are "homelike" to me and own part of my heart... but I think now I'm getting a crush on Turkey. <3
Okay, should get back to the study. Can only wax cosmopolitan for short periods now (both the fashion Cosmo & the actual definition) because I'll have nothing good if I don't give my all to being a great religious historian.

Some changes...
I've decided I needed a full blog for my Stardoll portfolio. Yeah, call me optimistic. :-)
Actually, the reason is I have actually gotten some modeling jobs, and it'll be easier to organise everything on a separate blog-- a place for the head shots, a place for the finished photos & such, another place to advertise for designers, mags, etc.
And another place to post my favourite Stardoll photos!
So here is the link to the new portfolio, and once it is "officially" ready, I'll make a directing link on the relevant post below.
In other news, I have been playing with graphics today, and simultaneously listening to a lecture series on Near Eastern mythology. I figure some of it will help with the paper I am writing on Hittite art, and the rest is useful for both my majors. Go me! LOL!

Wow! I have been selected as a contestant in Audrey's NTM!
I'm thrilled-- this is going to be so much fun, and just the thing to take my mind off studies when I need a break. (And boy oh boy will I need a break; just listened to a three hour lecture on Athenian and Spartan women in Classical Greece. On the other hand, I should ace that exam, it's mostly a rehash from previous courses I've taken on Greek history.)
Anyway--
Audrey's Next Top Model Club can be found here; and here is the link to the blog.
Wish us all luck-- I have some super-duper amazing competition & feel a bit like a weed in a rose garden! ;-)
